Dutch-Swedish Baroque master Martin van Meytens the Younger was the son of painter Martin van Meytens the Elder, who emigrated to Sweden from the Netherlands. Meytens the Younger became a court painter and his portraits of the aristocracy had a great impact on a generation of artists. Here we see his rendering of Franz Stephan, Grand Duke of Tuscany.
