Spanish genius Pablo Picasso lived and worked in France for most of his larger-than-life existence, evolving through Cubism, a brief return to classicism, and even Surrealism. Picasso’s Cubism defied the canvas with its multiple points of view and use of time as a fourth dimension. “The Lovers” is from the artist’s neoclassical flirtation in the early interwar years of the 1920’s.
