American illustration artist William Fulton Soare was born in Hackensack, New Jersey. After serving in World War I with the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe he returned to New York City and began his studies at the Grand Central School of Art. In 1927 Soare opened his art studio and began illustrating advertisements and pulp covers for action magazines.
