Alessandro Allori was an Italian Mannerist painter of the High-Renaissance. His works are in many ways homage to artists such as Andrea del Sarto, Da Vinci, and Agnolo Bronzino. Allori was only five years old when his father died and then taken under the care of Bronzino. There he apprenticed in his Florence workshop and became Bronzino’s most successful student.
