Bernardino Luini was a North Italian painter from the circle of Leonardo Da Vinci. He was so influenced by Leonardo that consequently many of his paintings were attributed to the great master. He is remembered primarily for his graceful female figures with elongated eyes and playful cherubs that we see here in this whimsical rendering.
