Catalan Gothic artist Jaume Huguet died before this altarpiece’s completion; it was finished by the artist’s assistants and painter Pau Vergo. The egg tempura work has a traditional gold background, delicate low relief decorations, and clothes Augustine, Bishop of Hippo and other figures in contemporary church garments.
