French artist Francois Hubert Drouais was a student of François Boucher and a widely-regarded portraitist of nobility and their children. This lovely Rococo work by Drouais depicts Charles-Philippe, Comte d'Artois, who avoided the guillotine’s blade, later becoming Charles X. His sister Madame Clotilde later became the ruler of Sardinia. A Mixed-Media Painting.
