Dutch Golden Age painter Albrecht Mignon was born and educated in Germany but worked in Flanders and Belgium. He began training under still-life artist Jacob Marrel at the tender age of seven. Mignon’s gift of rendering flowers, due to years of practice and observation, is still uncanny to the modern viewer. A Mixed-Media painting.
