Self-proclaimed “inventor of the pin-up”, Jean-Gabriel Domergue was a fashion designer as well as an artist. Domergue rendered his softly erotic subjects in a style that was reminiscent of advertising or magazine illustration. Here we see Art Chateau's version of “Chapeau à plumes”, an emblematic Mixed-Media painting that is enchanting with its light-hearted and innocuous sexuality.
