Elihu Vedder traveled the world, seeing Japan and studying painting in England and Italy, before returning to the U.S. Vedder made a living creating illustrations for a variety of publications. During his journeys to London, he was influenced by the haunting style of the Pre-Raphaelites, which is evident here in this Mixed-Media painting from Art Chateau.
