Born in Prague to a sculptor, Czech artist Josef Platzer was a painter and set designer who painted for the Austro-Hungarian emperors at their pleasure. This interesting architectural study combines Platzer’s technical knowledge with his excellent technique in ink and watercolor, resulting in an erudite decorative sketch from the Age of Reason and the heart of enlightened Europe. A Mixed-Media work of art.
