Dorte Clara Wolff was born in Berlin to an upper-middle-class Jewish family. Her passion was for fashion illustration and studied at the renowned Schule Reimann for designers and artists. Known as Dodo, she designed costumes for Mischa Spoliansky and Marlene Dietrich during the glamorous high society of the Weimar era. This painting illustrates a vibrant street scene in Berlin during the 1920s and was remastered at Art Chateau in 2014.
