From Naples to the isle of Capri, the entire Bay was once the magnificently beautiful playground of the infamous Roman Emperor. He was so enamored by the Isle of Capri that he took up residence on the island and administered the Roman Empire from his villa. While shopping on Capri, there is a wonderful store selling world-famous Capri sandals in the heart of the shopping district. On the Via Roma, the busiest tourist street in Capri is a little slice of magic, a store called Schettino di Capri. In 1973, arriving on her husband’s yacht, Christina, Jackie Onassis, accompanied her son John while shopping on the island. Jackie visited regularly, and she loved to stroll through the narrow little streets without being hampered by her bodyguards. Jackie got great pleasure being among the local people, stopping at Kiosks for a freshly-squeezed lemonade, getting a cappuccino or an aperitif while sitting in Capri’s world-famous "Piazza Umberto" square.
